About Us

The Dolce String Quartet began in 2019 as part of a program to benefit the El Progreso Memorial Library in Uvalde, Texas. Recognizing the need in Uvalde and the Frio Canyon for a string quartet that could provide music for weddings and other special events, and simply for the joy of playing music together, the Dolce String Quartet was conceived. While our roots are classical, we enjoy playing string music in a variety of styles.
